Okay so right before I was about to go to Kroger, I realized, I lost my Kroger Card! AHHH! worst nightmare, (not really), since I had about $3 worth of coupons on my card, that being said my total out of pocket was $8.69. And considering the chips were $2.50, and the lettuce almost $1, I didn’t do too bad! How’s your grocery trips going? Good luck y’all!

Okay so I love treats, but try to only make them when company comes over.
So this treat is really just another take on an almond joy candy bar, and is super easy to make.
My mother in law gave me some fabulous macaroon mix, and it makes delicious macaroons, then I top it with a milk chocolate ganache, and a little extra sweetened coconut.
MMMM….a plate full of these….it was a good night.

If you’ve ordered a magazine from Amazon recently, be sure to keep an eye on your email in box. This morning I got a FREE $5.00 credit from Amazon.com just for having placed a magazine order in the past. I used it to order
Parents Magazine (on sale for $4) for FREE! They are a one time use code, but it seems it can be used on anything as long as its sold by amazon, So keep a lookout! But with all the FREE coupons Parents Magazine has had recently, this was a great deal!

Although I love Tom Thumb, it wasn’t all sunshine and roses when I shopped earlier today. I actually had a slight run in with another cashier, that wasn’t our cashier, saying i could only use 1 printable coupon per transaction. I think she thought some of my coupons were photocopies because i had multiple coupons, i did reassure them they came from different computers, and sometimes my friends will even give me their coupons to use. I was able to talk to the manager, and tell him they were from different computers. He seemed a little unsure, but did allow me to use them.

Now, whenever I am in a conflict I naturally try to empathize with the other party. So in saying this, I can see the validity of the store’s concern, they want to be sure they are reimbusrt for the coupons they accept. Money is money. And I agree that stores are being cheated when people photocopy coupons. It’s illegal and shouldn’t be done. That being said, when I got home my husband actually pointed out a cool tip about coupons he noticed, and I thought I would share because this will help you explain to your own store that your coupons are not photocopies. Thereby we can advocate our own appropriate use of printable coupons when confronted.

Every coupon has a unique identifying number on them, on some coupons it is called the pin number, on other coupons, it will be typed below a special barcode on the upper area of a coupon. Now I have three cinnabon coupons that I wasn’t able to use today to prove it. They came from different computers, so two are in color, and one is in black and white, but all of them have a unique and different pin number on them in the upper right side of the coupons. So if you didn’t know this before…..NOW YOU KNOW! The top coupon ends in 7801, the second in 3002, and the third in 3402. Proving they aren’t photocopies, or else they would all have the exact same numbers.

So hip hip hurray for honest couponing! Good luck y’all!

Okay so I went to Tom Thumb today all excited about getting some free cinnabon cereal, turns out they didn’t have any left, they didn’t have much of anything included in the $1.99 kelloggs sale. So I’m a little sad, and move on to look for the Free cheese deal. Guess what happens? My husband spots Delifresh cheese on clearance, 50 percent off, making it around $2.00 each clearance price. So we get some of those, and find Kelloggs cereal on clearance! $1.49 a box, smorz and corn pops, i only had two $1.00 off/3 coupons for this type, buy we decided to buy 10 anyways and see if it would give us a catalina, we also find some yogurt, and  4 things of glad storage bags,  and 2 packs of gum, put it all in my cart, after coupons it rings up to $16.02, next thing I know we get the $5 Kraft catalina, and the $10 kelloggs catalina! yeay!

so $1.02 for everything in this picture, plus 2 packs of mentos gum not shown,
